TRASH vs TREASURE isn’t about, “out with the old, in with the new,” ripping out pipes, or dusty demolition. TRASH vs TREASURE is about flipping a single space on a micro-budget and revaluing what is in plain sight.
Victoria Rowell learned early on, one person's trash in another’s treasure. She designed out of necessity having spent 18 years in the foster care system. Rowell personalized each space, no matter where she landed, with anchors of beauty.
Featured in magazines, including, OPRAH Home Magazine for her interior design eye and cost-effective prowess, Rowell takes finding, flipping and folding to a new fun level while going where no celebrity has gone before…the DUMPSTER! Watch Rowell give a Hollywood facelift to space, enlisting the help of friends and junk shop colleagues alike, sometimes pushed to their decorating limits.
TRASH vs TREASURE will dedicate (1) episode per participant, with a before and after primarily sleeping spaces and the ultimate reveal. The “WOW” factor is discovering what’s at a fingers touch.
Each participant is interviewed to emphasize their emotional and compelling story – the desire for an improved space. Perhaps a busted office, that rundown sleeping or common area of a student, young mother, or an elder. A person in need of a tent home, even. Time to roll up sleeves, don the TIMBS and get Trash vs Treasure busy!
Audiences will be as inspired and surprised to learn, what was TRASH is now recycled TREASURE. Reimagined items, garage sale finds, street furniture goodies, flea markets, and of course, GOODWILL!
